To save a TikTok or YouTube video for later on iPhone, tap Share on the video and choose Linkpoche. The link is saved and the share sheet closes, so you stay where you were. Linkpoche keeps the video’s link and preview, and watching it later needs a connection.
How do I save a TikTok or YouTube video?
- Open the video in the TikTok or YouTube app, or in a browser.
- Tap the share icon. If the app shows its own share menu first, choose the option that opens the iPhone share sheet.
- Choose Linkpoche. If it is not in the row of apps, scroll to the end of the row and tap More to find it.
- The link is saved and the share sheet closes. Keep watching or scrolling where you left off.
The same steps work in any app with a Share button. The Save Link action in the Shortcuts app is another way to add a link.
What does a saved video show?
When you save a link, your iPhone fetches that page directly for its title, picture, description, and icon.
- YouTube. For videos on YouTube, Linkpoche also asks YouTube’s public embed endpoint. YouTube sees that request, as it would from a browser.
- TikTok. What appears depends on what TikTok returns for previews.
The preview helps you recognize the video when it comes back. It is a picture and a few lines of text. The video itself stays on the site.
What can a preview not show?
Previews have limits, and it helps to know them before you save a lot of videos.
- Videos behind a login. Linkpoche shows what a site publishes for previews and never signs in, so pages behind a login give little.
- Sites that return nothing. Any site can return nothing or change what it returns. The link is always saved and opens, and you can tap Fetch again.
- Summaries and read times. These are for pages with article text. Videos do not get a read time or an AI summary, even on iPhones that support the AI features.
- Offline viewing. Linkpoche keeps the address and preview, not a copy of the page. It does not download videos. Opening a saved video needs a connection.
How do I organize saved videos into pouches?
Saved videos stack up in the Inbox with your other links. Flick the top link down into a pouch along the bottom of the screen, and the pouch it is aimed at lights up.
- Make a pouch for each kind of video you save, such as recipes, workouts, or talks.
- Give each pouch a name, a color, and an icon.
- You can make up to 8 pouches free, four to a row along the bottom, and each can hold pouches inside. A Cooking pouch could hold a pouch just for videos.
- Swipe right for Read later when you are not sure yet. Swipe left to delete. Change what each swipe does in Settings.
Undo stays up for 6 seconds, and Recently Deleted keeps your last 50 deleted links, pictures included.
How do I get back to a video I saved?
- For you shows up to 10 links from your pouches each day.
- The widget. The Linkpoche widget, small or medium, on iOS 17 or later, shows links from your Inbox, a new one every 30 minutes, and today’s For you links when the Inbox is empty. Tap a For you link to open the page through Linkpoche.
- A reminder. Set a one-time reminder on a video, such as tonight or this weekend.
- Search. Search everything you saved, or one pouch. On iOS 17 or later, search also finds links close in meaning. Filter by unread, read, or favorites. Saved links also show up in iPhone search.
Is Linkpoche connected to TikTok or YouTube?
No. Linkpoche is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok or YouTube. It does not use your accounts on those services and never signs in. There is no Linkpoche server, and your links are stored on your iPhone.
TikTok and YouTube are trademarks of their respective owners.
