To save a post from X (formerly Twitter) on iPhone, tap the share icon on the post and choose Linkpoche in the iPhone share sheet. The link is saved and the share sheet closes, so you stay where you were in X. Later, the post is waiting in your Linkpoche Inbox, ready to swipe into a pouch.
How do I save an X post to Linkpoche?
- Open the post in the X app or in a browser.
- Tap the share icon. If the app shows its own menu first, choose the option that opens the iPhone share sheet.
- Choose Linkpoche. If it is not in the row of apps, scroll to the end of the row and tap More to find it.
- The link is saved and the share sheet closes. Keep scrolling from where you left off.
Linkpoche works the same way from any app with a Share button, so links from Safari, news apps, and other social apps land in the same Inbox. The Save Link action in the Shortcuts app is another way to add a link.
If you took a screenshot of a post instead, share it to Linkpoche from Photos, up to 10 at a time. Linkpoche reads the text on your iPhone, and search finds it later. If the screenshot shows a web address, Linkpoche saves that link too. Small or handwritten text can be missed.
What does a saved X post look like?
When you save a link, your iPhone fetches that page directly for its title, picture, description, and icon. For posts on X, Linkpoche also asks X’s public embed endpoint. X sees that request, as it would from a browser.
What you see depends on the post and on what X returns:
- A post with only text. The preview shows the title, description, and icon that X returns for the post. Summaries and read times are for pages with article text, so posts do not get them.
- A post with pictures. The preview picture is whichever picture X returns for that post.
- A post that carries a link. The saved link is the post’s own address, so the preview is about the post. To keep the linked article itself, open the article and share it to Linkpoche from there. Articles get a read time, and on supported iPhones an AI summary.
What if a saved post shows little or nothing?
Linkpoche shows what a site publishes for previews and never signs in, so posts that need a login to view give little. X, like any site, can return nothing or change what it returns. The link is always saved and opens, and you can tap Fetch again.
Linkpoche keeps the address and the preview, not a copy of the post. Opening a saved post needs a connection.
How do I sort the posts I saved?
Saved posts stack up in the Inbox. Flick the top link down into a pouch. Your pouches sit along the bottom, within reach of your thumb, and the pouch the link is aimed at lights up.
- Swipe left to delete, right for Read later. Change what each swipe does in Settings.
- Undo stays up for 6 seconds. Recently Deleted keeps your last 50 deleted links, pictures included.
- You can make up to 8 pouches free, four to a row along the bottom, and each can hold pouches inside. Give each a name, a color, and an icon.
You could keep one pouch for recipes people post, one for threads you want to read in full, and one for places to visit.
How do I find a saved post again?
- Search everything you saved, or one pouch. On iOS 17 or later, search also finds links close in meaning. Filter by unread, read, or favorites.
- Saved links show up in iPhone search.
- For you shows up to 10 links from your pouches each day.
- The Linkpoche widget, small or medium, on iOS 17 or later, shows links from your Inbox, a new one every 30 minutes, and today’s For you links when the Inbox is empty. Tap a For you link to open the page through Linkpoche.
- Set a one-time reminder on a post you want to read later today or this weekend.
Is Linkpoche connected to X?
No. Linkpoche is not affiliated with or endorsed by X. It does not use an X account and never signs in. When you save a post, your iPhone fetches the post’s page and asks X’s public embed endpoint for preview details. There is no Linkpoche server, and your links are stored on your iPhone.
X is a trademark of its owner.
