A bookmark and read-later app that needs no account

Linkpoche stores your links on your iPhone. There is nothing to sign up for, and this page lists what goes over the network.

Download on the App Store

Linkpoche is a read-later and bookmark app for iPhone that works with no account and no sign-in. There is no Linkpoche server, and your links are stored on your iPhone. The trade-off is that there is no sync between devices; you move links with an exported zip file or your iPhone backup.

Does Linkpoche need an account?

No. Install it, then tap Share in any app and choose Linkpoche. There is no sign-up screen, no email address to enter, and no password. Linkpoche is free to download, and saving is free with no limit and no ads. Linkpoche Plus is an optional one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It needs no Linkpoche account; the App Store handles the purchase with your Apple Account.

Your links are stored on your iPhone. Linkpoche keeps each link’s address and preview: its title, picture, description, and icon. It does not keep a copy of the page, so opening a link needs a connection. Screenshots you save are kept on your iPhone as resized copies without location data.

What goes over the network?

There is no Linkpoche server and no account. These are the requests the app makes, and the parts that stay on your iPhone.

  • The page you saved. When you save a link, your iPhone fetches that page directly, following any redirects, for its title, picture, description, icon, and article text. It also loads the picture and icon the page points to.
  • Article text. The text is used for the read time and summary, then discarded.
  • Some services’ embed endpoints. For posts and videos on X, YouTube, Instagram, and Threads, Linkpoche also asks that service’s public embed endpoint. Those sites see the request, as they would from a browser.
  • Screenshots. Screenshots are read on your iPhone and not uploaded.
  • Searching by meaning. For searching by meaning, iOS may download language files from Apple.
  • Linkpoche Plus. Buying or restoring Linkpoche Plus goes through Apple’s App Store.
  • AI features. On iPhone 15 Pro or later with iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence turned on, the AI runs on your iPhone, and nothing is sent out for it.
  • Analytics and ads. The app has none. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.

Opening a saved link loads that page, as it would in a browser.

Linkpoche has no sync, so backups are in your hands.

  1. Export everything as one zip file.
  2. Keep the zip somewhere you can reach from the other iPhone.
  3. On the new iPhone, install Linkpoche and import the zip.
  4. Import adds links from the backup and never overwrites what is already there.

You can also move to a new iPhone with your iPhone backup.

Import reads only a backup zip exported from Linkpoche. It cannot read exports from other apps, including a Pocket export. To bring links over from another app, share each one to Linkpoche.

What does Linkpoche not do?

A local, no-account app has limits. These are the ones to know before you choose it.

  • No sync between devices. Linkpoche is for iPhone only, and your links stay on that iPhone until you export them.
  • No copies of pages. Linkpoche keeps the address and preview. Reading a saved page needs a connection.
  • No sign-in to other sites. Linkpoche shows what a site publishes for previews and never signs in, so pages behind a login give little. Any site can return nothing or change what it returns. The link is always saved and opens, and you can tap Fetch again.
  • No import from other apps. Import reads Linkpoche backups only.
  • Swipe each link into a pouch. You can make up to 8 pouches free, and each can hold pouches inside.
  • Swipe left to delete, right for Read later. Undo stays up for 6 seconds, and Recently Deleted keeps your last 50 deleted links.
  • Save screenshots. Linkpoche reads their text, QR codes, and web addresses on your iPhone.
  • Search everything you saved, or one pouch. On iOS 17 or later, search also finds links close in meaning. Filter by unread, read, or favorites. Saved links show up in iPhone search.
  • For you shows up to 10 links from your pouches each day, and the Linkpoche widget shows them when your Inbox is empty, on iOS 17 or later. Set a one-time reminder on any link.
  • The Shortcuts app has a Save Link action.
  • With Linkpoche Plus, lock a pouch with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, or hide it until you choose to show it. Anyone who can unlock your iPhone can open a locked pouch.

Which iPhones does it run on?

Linkpoche runs on iPhone with iOS 16 or later. The widget and searching by meaning need iOS 17 or later. The AI features need iPhone 15 Pro or later with iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence turned on, and each AI feature can be turned off.
